Surabaya, August 4, 2025 – PT Perta Life Insurance (PertaLife Insurance) and Perum Perhutani Regional Division of East Java officially entered into a partnership for the procurement of insurance coverage for workers in the Produksi Tebangan dan Tempat Penimbunan Kayu (TPK), the logging production and timber stockpile sectors for 2025. The signing of the cooperation agreement took place in the Cendana Room at the Perhutani Divre Jatim office and was witnessed by management representatives from both parties.
Through this collaboration, PertaLife Insurance will provide insurance protection for more than 4,590 workers, consisting of 3,230 logging workers and 1,360 TPK workers, as part of a commitment to improving the welfare and protection of workers in the forestry sector.
Marketing Director of PertaLife Insurance, Martino Faishal Saudi, expressed appreciation for the trust given by Perhutani. “This mandate reflects our strong commitment to providing optimal protection for workers, from basic insurance coverage to additional benefits that protect families when they need it most. The figure of 4,590 is not just a number; it represents the trust and great responsibility we carry as a part of BUMN that serves with dedication,” said Martino in his remarks.
Head of the East Java Regional Division of Perhutani, Wawan Triwibowo, welcomed the partnership as an important step toward enhancing workforce protection while strengthening synergy among BUMN. He also expressed hope that this collaboration would become an example of sustainable cooperation between the forestry and insurance sectors.
