Jakarta, May 14, 2025 – In the spirit of welcoming the 40th Anniversary of PT Perta Life Insurance (PertaLife Insurance) under the theme “Energizing Your Healthy Life,” PertaLife Insurance officially concluded the Gesper Ketat Program Batch 1 in 2025, an internal initiative aimed at fostering healthy, active, and responsible lifestyle habits within the workplace.
The program ran for 13 weeks from February to May 2025 and was participated in by PertaLife employees (Perwira). Using a holistic approach based on objective measurements, participants were guided to build routines that included regular exercise, structured meal planning, and disciplined rest schedules.
The program was also complemented by community-based activities such as Weekly Challenges, nutrition education sessions with experts, and Gerak Bersama (GEBER) group exercise sessions, making it both a learning platform and a space for cross-unit engagement and togetherness.
Martino Faishal Saudi, Marketing Director of PertaLife Insurance, stated, “The closing of the Gesper Ketat Program Batch 1 coincides with the momentum of PertaLife Insurance’s 40th Anniversary. Our overarching theme this year is ‘Energizing Your Healthy Life,’ and this program demonstrates that we begin from within. Healthy, energetic, and disciplined employees are key to sustaining business in the VUCA era: Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, and Ambiguity. This era is characterized by rapid changes influenced by many factors that are difficult to predict and control.”
As the initiating division, Christina Eka Kurnia, VP of Customer Engagement & Services, added, “This program impacts not only physical health but also work enthusiasm and the quality of service to customers. When employees feel stronger, more self-aware, and supportive of one another, the culture of service naturally rises to a higher level.”
Throughout the program, participants experienced various positive transformations. Many showed reductions in waist circumference, improved body composition, and the development of more consistent, healthy lifestyle habits. The highest achievement was recorded by a participant who successfully lost up to 9.8 kg in 13 weeks while maintaining proportional muscle mass.
One of the top participants, RR Endah Wasis, shared her experience: “Gesper Ketat is not just about losing weight but about building a new awareness of the body and life balance. I learned to stay consistent with my meal plan, understand my own eating patterns, and confidently say ‘enough’ to unhealthy foods. Losing nearly 10 kg in 13 weeks was not easy, but it became possible because we went through it together with the right support and education. What I am most grateful for is that I feel stronger, lighter, and more disciplined, not only for myself but also in my work.”
Meanwhile, Ratih Triutami Wijayanti, Corporate Communication of PertaLife Insurance, emphasized, “Through constructive internal communication and positive narratives, we aim to make Gesper Ketat more than just a seasonal challenge but a lifestyle for PertaLife Perwira. This reflects our commitment to implementing the theme ‘Energizing Your Healthy Life’, not only for our stakeholders but also for everyone within the company.”
The closing of Batch 1 marks the beginning of plans to develop subsequent program batches, which will be designed to be broader, more inclusive, and integrated with the Employee Experience & Well-Being agenda throughout 2025. PLI.
