Karawang – PT Perta Life Insurance (PertaLife Insurance) continues to demonstrate its consistency in supporting the improvement of public health quality alongside financial literacy. Together with Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), PertaLife Insurance actively participated in Program Sosialisasi Kesehatan (Health Socialization Program) held at the Cibuaya Community Health Center (Puskesmas), Kabupaten Karawang, on September 22, 2025.
The capacity-building program for Posyandu (integrated healthcare center) volunteers was held once again, featuring a series of upskilling activities tailored to community needs. From nutritional improvement and strengthening the 25 basic competencies for Posyandu volunteers to education on preventing Dengue Fever (DBD), HIV, and AIDS, the entire agenda was aimed at fostering healthier families and communities.
On this occasion, PertaLife Insurance played a key role by hosting a financial literacy session titled “Mengenal Asuransi & Pentingnya Mempersiapkan Dana Pensiun,” which talks about understanding insurance and the importance of preparing a pension fund. This session was designed to provide the community with an understanding of the importance of future planning and maintaining family financial resilience. The event was attended by 20 volunteers from Posyandu Sedari, 20 volunteers from Posyandu Cemarajaya, and 5 healthcare workers from the Cibuaya Health Center.
As part of the One Pertamina synergy, PertaLife Insurance also distributed support in the form of Posyandu equipment, including X-Banners, food dummy kits, and necessary tables and chairs. This assistance is expected to strengthen public health services in Karawang and was highly appreciated by all parties in attendance.
PHE ONWJ emphasized the importance of cross-entity collaboration within Pertamina to create tangible benefits on the ground. According to Ery Ridwan, Head of Communication Relations & CID at PHE ONWJ, “This collaboration is a clear proof of the One Pertamina synergy in supporting the communities around our operational areas. We believe that public health and financial literacy are essential foundations toward independence.”
From the beneficiaries’ side, Posyandu volunteers and local health workers felt the direct impact of the program. Mr. Hj. Bidi Ismail, A.Mk, Head of Administration at the Cibuaya Health Center, stated, “The medical equipment and supporting facilities provided by PertaLife Insurance are very helpful for us in serving the community, especially mothers and children. The education on insurance and pension funds also provided new insights for our volunteers and residents.”
Meanwhile, representing PertaLife Insurance, Riyan G. Zola, Corporate Communication at PertaLife Insurance, stressed that this program is a combination of health support and financial literacy. “Our support is not just on the health aspect through Posyandu facilities, but also on the community’s financial readiness through insurance literacy and pension fund preparation. A healthy body and financial readiness are the keys to an empowered family.”
Furthermore, financial literacy was reinforced through a presentation by Tri Mulyani, Account Manager Marketing DPLK, who explained the importance of preparing a pension fund early so that people have financial certainty in their old age. This narrative was complemented by Andi Rita Anastasya Baso, Acting DH Marketing Communication, who highlighted how insurance serves as a foundation for family protection and a sustainable financial planning instrument. These presentations are expected to broaden public awareness of financial planning integrated with health needs.
The presence of PertaLife Insurance in this Health Upskilling program reflects the spirit of One Pertamina to continue synergizing and creating a positive impact on society. Through these concrete steps, the company aims to ensure that the community receives better health services while possessing strong financial awareness for a sustainable future. PLI
