Jakarta – In an effort to strengthen a healthy, safe, and respectful workplace culture, PT Perta Life Insurance (PertaLife Insurance) organized a sharing session on “Respectful Workplace Policy (RWP)” featuring a speaker from PT Pertamina (Persero), Rachmalia Yulianti, Sr. Analyst II Industrial Relations Policy. The session, held at the PertaLife Ballroom, 12th floor, was attended both in person and virtually by PertaLife employees (Perwira) from various divisions.
The Respectful Workplace Policy is an internal policy within the Pertamina Group that has been implemented since 2021 as a commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion in the workplace. The policy covers the prevention and handling of harassment, discrimination, bullying, and gender-based violence.
According to the Statistics Indonesia (BPS) National Occupational Safety and Health Survey (2023), one in four workers in Indonesia reported having experienced some form of violence or intimidation in the workplace. Meanwhile, research from McKinsey & Company in its 2022 Diversity Wins Report indicates that companies with inclusive workplace cultures are 35% more likely to achieve financial performance above the industry average.
Director of PertaLife Insurance, Martino Faishal Saudi, stated, “A workplace culture that respects one another is a fundamental foundation for maintaining organizational sustainability. We believe that a safe and inclusive work environment has a direct impact on productivity, collaboration, and employee loyalty to the company.”
A similar perspective was shared by Yahmin, Department Head of Human Capital at PertaLife Insurance: “The implementation of the Respectful Workplace Policy is not merely ceremonial. It is part of fair, transparent, and accountable human resource governance. We also continue to encourage safe reporting channels and a clear recovery system.”
Ratih Triutami Wijayanti, Department Head of Corporate Communication at PertaLife Insurance, added, “With the spirit of Guarding the Future, Energizing Your Healthy Life, we believe that open and empathetic communication is key to building a positive workplace culture. PertaLife Insurance will continue to support the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) agenda as part of continuing transformation.”
This activity reflects PertaLife Insurance’s commitment to supporting ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles, in line with the company’s vision to become a trusted provider of life insurance, health insurance, and pension fund solutions and the preferred choice for the Indonesian public.
