Subang – Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ), together with PT Perta Life Insurance (PertaLife Insurance), held a financial literacy socialization program with community partners from Karawang Regency, Subang Regency, North Jakarta, and Bandung at Sari Ater Hot Spring Resort from Monday to Thursday (May 19-22).
This activity represents a concrete example of ONE Pertamina synergy, which prioritizes community empowerment and sustainable protection in operational areas.
The program brought together representatives from 20 assisted community groups from Karawang and Subang who are members of the Kelompok Kerja Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Pesisir (KKPMP), one forest farmer group from Subang, partners from Rumah Edukasi Kenanga, IHK Universitas Padjadjaran, Yayasan Paleman Universitas Singaperbangsa Karawang, as well as three MSME partner groups.
Pinto Budi Bowo Laksono, Manager of Communication, Relations & Community Involvement and Development Regional Jawa of PHE, stated that synergies like this must continue to be strengthened among entities within the Pertamina Group.
“The spirit of ONE Pertamina is not merely collaboration between companies but a unification of energy to create real impact for society. Through this program, we are present together, not only from an operational perspective but also from social and sustainability perspectives,” said Pinto.
A similar message was conveyed by R. Ery Ridwan, Head of Community Relations & CID of PHE ONWJ, who emphasized the importance of synergy among Pertamina entities.
As part of this collaboration, PertaLife Insurance contributed through financial literacy and education sessions, covering life insurance protection and pension fund programs for all participants and representatives of village communities. The session was facilitated by Enda Perimsa Sitepu, VP of Captive Marketing of PertaLife Insurance, together with Deny Kuriniawan, Board Member for Business and Compliance of the DPLK PertaLife.
This literacy program aims to equip communities with a basic understanding of family financial planning, the importance of life protection, and the benefits of pension programs as part of long-term financial resilience.
“We want our assisted communities to not only possess technical skills but also have an awareness of the importance of managing risks and preparing for the future. This literacy program is the first step in building financially resilient communities,” explained Enda.
In addition to education, PertaLife Insurance also provided free basic health check-ups (mini MCU) for participants and PHE ONWJ field teams on duty. This facility reflects PertaLife’s commitment to ensuring holistic protection, not only financially but also in terms of health.
Ratih Triutami Wijayanti, Head of Corporate Communication of PertaLife Insurance, added, “We view this synergy as a form of sustainable contribution. Our presence is not merely to accompany but also to strengthen community capacity and ensure that every step of growth remains inclusive and sustainable.”
Through this cross-entity collaboration, PHE ONWJ and PertaLife Insurance demonstrate a shared commitment to strengthening community resilience, expanding access to financial literacy, and realizing sustainability values within the ONE Pertamina ecosystem. PLI.
